Marne K. Mitskog is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of BuckleySandler LLP. Her practice focuses on financial services litigation and enforcement, as well as on securities enforcement and white collar criminal matters. Her experience includes state and federal trial and appellate litigation, securities arbitration, shareholder derivative litigation, federal investigations, and corporate internal investigations. Ms. Mitskog represents investment banks, financial advisors and broker-dealers in the securities industry, as well as corporations, individual officers and directors, mortgage lenders, banks and other financial institutions in federal and state court litigation, including class actions, and in arbitration forums (including FINRA).

Ms. Mitskog conducts corporate internal investigations, and assists corporations and other business entities in responding to federal investigations and subpoenas. She has conducted internal investigations on behalf of corporate clients into allegations of fraud, insider trading, market manipulation, honest services fraud, and other white collar crimes.

Ms. Mitskog is a former financial consultant (former stockbroker), and held the NASD Series 7 (General Securities Representative), Series 3 (National Commodity Futures), Series 65 (Investment Adviser Representative) and Series 63 (Securities Agent) licenses when she worked in the securities brokerage industry.

Ms. Mitskog received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2005, where she was a Ritter Scholar and received the National Association of Women Lawyers Outstanding Law Student Award.  Ms. Mitskog received a B.A.L.S. from Georgetown University in 2000 (summa cum laude).

Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Mitskog served as an Honors Attorney in the Office of the Solicitor's Honors Program at the U.S. Department of Labor in Washington, D.C., where she investigated mine fatalities.
