Represented Compass Bank in obtaining a consent decree settlement with the Department of Justice resolving allegations that the bank engaged in a pattern or practice of discrimination on the basis of marital status by charging higher buy rates for indirect auto loans to co-applicants who were not married to each other than for loans to co-applicants who were married to each other, in violation of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and Regulation B.
