Augustine M. Ripa is an associate in the Washington, DC, office of BuckleySandler LLP. Mr. Ripa represents corporate and individual clients in a wide range of litigation and enforcement matters, including criminal and complex civil litigation, internal investigations, government enforcement actions, and appellate matters. Those representations have involved the False Claims Act, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, RICO, mail and wire fraud, health care fraud, unfair trade practices, privacy and data breaches, antitrust investigations, and DOJ investigations. Augustine also maintains an active pro bono litigation practice, representing clients in nationally reported public interest cases involving voting rights, environmental issues, and the First Amendment.
Prior to joining BuckleySandler, Mr. Ripa was a litigation associate in the Government Enforcement Practice Group at Ropes & Gray. Mr. Ripa received his J.D. from George Washington University in 2008 (with honors), where he was a member of the George Washington International Law Review. During law school, he interned for the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary, as well as in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia and the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Mr. Ripa received his B.A. and his B.S. from Lehigh University in 2004 and 2005, respectively.
