Biography
Derrick A. Pitts is a regulatory attorney in the Washington, DC, office of BuckleySandler LLP. Mr. Pitts assists clients in the financial services industry, primarily in litigation, regulatory and compliance matters. He provides litigation support and assists with large scale document reviews and productions related to complex litigation.
Prior to joining BuckleySandler, Mr. Pitts was a law clerk for the North Carolina Office of the Commissioner of Banks. During law school, he clerked for Legal Aid of North Carolina and for the Honorable John R. Jolly, Jr. of the North Carolina Business Court.
Mr. Pitts received his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2009, where he was a member of the North Carolina Banking Institute Journal. Before attending law school, he was a Senior Financial Analyst at Wachovia Bank N.A. Mr. Pitts received his B.S. from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University (magna cum laude) in 2001.
